SWISS CHARD
Not really from Switzerland, but the Mediteranean, Swiss Chard is mild yet earthy ns sweet in flavour with slightly bitter undertones.
One cup of chopped Swiss chard has 35 calories, is rich in Vitmani A, K and C, it regulates blood pressue and promotes bone health.
Whats the difference, they look the same? Swiss Chard and Spinach.

When to GroW
Although this plant can be sowed throughout the year as long as the climate is right, in South Africa there are two main sowing times that are used. January to April if the winters are not too cold and August to December.
